Party Wall Act
We act as Party Wall Surveyors under the Party Wall etc Act 1996.
The Act covers not only walls built on, or adjacent to, the boundary (or alterations to them), but also covers extensions where either:
i) the foundations (of the new extension) will be less than 3.00 metres from the adjoining owner’s foundations and at a lower level, or
ii) the foundations (of the new extension) will be less than 6.00 metres from the adjoining owner’s foundations where the construction work on the founations will cut a line drawn downwards at 45 degrees from the bottom of the adjoining owners’s foundations.
